In a world where women must fight for equality, Foamers’ vision has been to build a culture where women can thrive – not just survive. Today, on International Women’s Day, we are proud to celebrate the amazing contributions that our female employees have made to Foamers’… contributions that have allowed our company to not just survive, but in fact, thrive.

“We are so proud to have such a strong female representation in our staff” says Head Brewer, Lyndsay Birch. “Today we get to celebrate that diversity as well as bring awareness to the gap that still exists for many women”, she continued.

“In honour of International Women’s Day, the women at Foamers’ got together and brewed a Kölsch using this year’s Pink Boots hop blend. This simple and delicious Kölsch boasts hop notes of citrus, tropical, and stone fruit, and we could not be more proud to release it for an occasion so meaningful to all of us”.

The unfortunate reality of sexism in the craft beer industry was brought into the spotlight by Ratmagnet nearly two years ago. While strides have been made to bring equality and eliminate discrimination to our industry, there is still a lot of work to do to achieve parity. The Pink Boots Society is a nonprofit focused on empowering women and engendering diversity and inclusion in the fermented beverages industry through education. It is through organizations like this that we can continue to take steps towards equality.

Our International Women’s Day beer will be available for a limited time in the taproom and is available for growler fills.
